BEN GARRISON, Cartoonist!

BEN GARRISON,
CARTOONIST!

Let's shed a little "Light" on this subject!

There are many cartoonists who lampoon political figures, causes and a host of other interesting things. Many are just plain mundane or draw stuff that is politically correct. They know they will be fired or completely sidelined if they do not "toe-the-mark" as a saying goes.

There are, however some cartoonists who really understand the problems in American Society and are not the least bit ashamed of stating their case very well. One such a cartoonist is Ben Garrison, who lives in rural Montana and makes some pretty direct points about what he believes in. We are featuring a few of his recent efforts here. They are well drawn, funny and often  right on the mark. Enjoy our featured examples. You can  subscribe to his email if you like and get his latest cartoons on a regular basis. Simply search for his name!

Here are some of  our recent favorites:

CONSERVATIVE VIEWS NOT EQUAL TO LEFTIES!

CONSERVATIVE VIEWS
NOT EQUAL TO LEFTIES!

Monana Resident and Cartoonist Ben Garrison

So now conservative values are not equal to the left's ideals? Well, according to a campus newspaper, a brilliant student came up with that line in an Op-Ed!

Gees!

No wonder the press, academia, corporations and others push the leftist line. It is just simply more worthy, regardless of how stupid it may be!

Whatever happened to "equality?!" Obviously, there isn't any! Now we have the proof. This young squirt has spoken!

"There is no legitimate argument for supporting Donald Trump and his allies, at least not one that holds up in any academic community worth its salt," the author wrote. "But we shouldn’t create an impulse among the student body to pretend, out of politeness, that there’s anything valuable in the Republican policy agenda."

GONE WITH THE WIND!

GONE WITH THE WIND!

This movie was a smash 80 years ago when it was released. It featured Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable and was one of the films that made black actors acceptable.

Now, it is being released in honor of its 80th Anniversary. Some idiots on the left who scream for tolerance are totally intolerant concerning this film and do not think it should be shown because it "portrays the South in a favorable light." Who cares? It was a classic and it is what it is. Truth is, it's a great show and features a number of award winning actors including blacks.

Another great movie we never hear anything about is SONG OF THE SOUTH, a Walt Disney Film released in 1939 which featured black actors showing off the TALES OF UNCLE REMUS, classic black folk tales from the book by Joel Chandler Harris. It was probably the first film ever made using animation AND live actors in one image.

It also featured the hit song ZIP-A-DEE-DOO-DAH. I wonder if the moguls will see fit to release it again too, or is it not on the approved list?! Time will tell. Things that go around have a habit of coming around!

A story was featured on Fox News today about the re-release of GONE WITH THE WIND. The article can be accessed by copying and pasting this address into your browser:

Some bigoted theaters may not show the film, but DVD copies are available on the internet by a simple search. So are copies of SONG OF THE SOUTH. Just remember to buy the expensive versions, as they are the best quality. A You Tube version of the song is available by a quick  search for ZIP-A-DEE-DOO-DAH.

Enjoy the shows. They are classic Americana!
